nails: light blue, and hella chipped, i love this color though, so i'm gonna do them over again, same color. --note: i'm taking the old polish off right now, and it is HELLA hard to get off.--

thoughts: so, i'm home from colorado. good times and bad times were had. i suppose i'll just start from the beginning...

my dad and i drove up on saturday, we left at 4:30, and i'd stayed up until like... 3am that night, thinking i'd just sleep all day in the car. but, i totally couldn't sleep in the car, it sucked (i will admit that nic warned me this would happen, and i was like "bah, you don't know what you're talking about") so, we drove and drove and drove, and got to peaceful valley at 5:30 colorado time. hung out with katie (my cousin) and jeanne (my aunt), and we went to the millsite, which is this cool little tavern type place up in the mountains (which is were peaceful valley is). yeah.

next day, sunday, my dad and allison and i went to rocky mountain national park, and i really enjoyed it because i amuse myself a lot. there was a big horn sheep that we saw, and i was like "it's a deer! now, it's a buffalo! NO! it's a SHEEP! it's a... big horned sheep! wow!" and we saw a marmot. and i decided that i need a marmot. also, we saw a bunch of elk like things... but they weren't too interesting. one of the signs said not to slide down the ice fields, as it could result in serious injury or death. but, when we go on the overnight horseback trip at PV, we always slide down ice fields. i guess it's all fun and games until someone gets seriously injured or killed.

then, we went to estes park, and went through the stanley hotel (which i've done tons of times, but it was still neat.) the stanley is the place where stephen king wrote most of 'the shining' and is also the hotel used in the tv mini series of the shining. and, they filmed part of dumb and dumber there. i got this neat little door plaque thingy, that says "overlook hotel, room 217" (the room where the dead lady in the bathtub was, for you nonshining fans).

THEN we went shopping in estes, since that's all it's really there for. and i was in this little mall thingy, and someone came RUNNING up and hugged me, and i was like "*FLAIL* AHHHHHH" but it was emily, so it was ok.

we all went back up to peaceful valley, and hung out with emily's ducks. bill, webster, huey and duey. pete (emily's dad, my uncle) was tossing bill back into the pond, and like, he threw him too high, so when he hit the water he sunk. don't worry, bill was fine. it was the funniest thing ever though. emily caught them a few times, with her coyote like hunting tactics. we all went to the millsite again, then emily and i went back to the ranch and like, wandered around the lodge, and met this insanely odd 14 year old from nebraska. he was skanky.

monday we both went back to denver, only we took this really insane long route that went through wyoming, because emily needs driving hours. but it was hella fun. emily's '70 mustang was neato.

ok, i'm bored of typing this. more later.
