There is this show called RENT that I'd like to recommend. It's really good. Especially this cast referred to as the Collins.
Oh, I further recommend that everyone visit www.adamrickitt.com . Apparently he got himself some arms that could stomp Tokyo whilst I wasn't looking to go with the abs that could crunch Tokyo.

Or...not. 3. I didn't watch. But I too am watching the finale. taping it, prolly. 4. Chicago amuses me. As does Caberet tonight. And randomly that reminded me that I need to make plans to save enough money to go cavorting in the city on the two extra long weekends we have this year. Woot! ::flails::

REJOICE!!
After many, many days of being told by blogger that my account was invalid, I'm finally back online! WOOOOOTTTTTT!!!
And, yes, this post has another point:
Go out and buy Star Wars toys.
NOW.
They're so cool! ::flails:: R2 lights up and makes noise and suff!! And Obi-Wan and Windy and the other Jedi have "force power" magnets that they use to magically bring their lightsabers into their hands! ::flails more::
Okay. I'm a geek.

ohmygod ohmygod ohmygod i just watched the x-files.....so spoiler.. if you taped it or something....
okay so you could totally see it coming. i mean in the commercials it SAID "one of these characters is going to die" and then it showed the gunmen, doggett, and raez. and obviously they're not going to kill their new mulder and scully no matter how much they SHOULD. so. yeah. but i was still living in happy denial that maybe doggett would die. so. the episode starts out and it's like this big montage of gunmen clips ("she's hot!") and i was all happy and squishy. but then.. okay... i hate fletcher. and i don't like eve that much but whatever. and i really hate doggett. and if you, like me, have more or less abandoned txf (i only watched it because i saw a commercial with the gunmen in it)-- the basic gist, blah bah, fletcher is a jerk, blah blah, biological weapon human time bombs, blah blah, langly gives inspirational speech about joey ramone ("people who never give up never die") such awful foreshadowing!, blah blah, LONE GUNMEN SACRIFICE SELVES IN AIRLOCK TO SAVE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE, blah blah, skinner pulls strings to get them buried at arlington, scully cries. the end. renata sobs. and sobs and sobs and sobs and has to cry quietly because her mother is in the next room and renata does not want to explain why she is crying. oh god. i'm still really shaken. i can't believe i'm this upset about freaking fictional chacters on a show i haven't watched in years.
positive points, 2: 1.) jimmy. jimmy had really grown on me right before they cancelled the lone gunmen. and 2.) at least cc went out of his way to give them a noble death. and the gunmen montage was really nice.
but OH MY GOD that's the saddest thing i've ever seen on teevee. oh god. it was so awful. *sob sob*

soo. i just watched "greg the bunny" for the first time. i usually don't watch much teevee, but this was definitely funny. funny enough to merit me desiring to watch it a second time. and can i be completely shallow and say that seth green is foxy? because he is.
anyway. and i saw this commercial for txf on sunday. and it had the gunmen!!! i haven't seen the gunmen in sooooooo long. i missed them. like they were real people or something. weird. so i'm thinking maybe i'll watch txf this weekend. (someone please remind me to ^_^)

I suppose I must justify this post with a review of some sort. Erm.... American Gods is still an awesome book. ::looks pathetically at how little she's read:: Yeah. How about Ektachrome 100 SW film? Now that's some rockin' slide film. Yo. You want awesome saturation, you go with Ektachrome 100 SW. And the AF Micro Nikkor 105mm lens should be worshipped. Yeah. Okay, I'm done now...

i just finished reading the first sandman collection, preludes and nocturnes... it was SOOOO good. i just want to.. like.... dance and cry and force everyone i know to read it.
the only thing is now i have to read all of them. and i have this thing about libraries... like... okay it's weird. but if i'm going to read a book that i KNOW i'm going to like... i really really really prefer to own it. there's something about knowing that a book is MINE and i can read it whenever i want and have it for forever and... it's... mine. i don't know. as a result, it would probably be cheaper for me to be a drug addict than to buy all these books. but i just.... books. i love looking at the shelves with all my books. it makes me feel so... happy. and i hate hate hate HATE it when i lend people books and they TEAR them!! they're my BOOKS! how can they DO that? it makes me even more sad when i tear my own books. i feel like i've betrayed a friend. but i don't mind if they have a little wear and tear. it makes them seem.. distinguished. or something.
please tell me you guys are like this...? or can understand? *sigh*

Hee hee, I amuse myself in that I reccomend porn. So yeah, I bought some the other day. The movie itself isn't important, but the stars is. Hee hee, Ty Parks was in it. But there was someone else he was uber-cute. Jeremy Jordan. He's got this wicked smile smirk thang down.
So uhm, yeah, you guys, go rent porn featuring him. You won't be sorry.

Back from Oklahoma City. Tired as all hell, and have to attend practice in about half an hour. Am apparently incapable of using subjects in sentences as well.
So, yeah. Nothing useful worth noting, other than did I mention I'm tired? And angry. I'm angry too. But only at one person, and I won't go into why because nobody really cares about my bitterness issues.

i saw big trouble today! yay! i was almost late because of tricky, tricky daylight savings time *shakes fist* but i wasn't. yay.
aaaanyway. it was HILARIOUS. very true to the book. there were a few parts where i know the book went into more detail, but of course that's going to happen. ooh, very funny part (spoiler, i suppose.. but not really)
at the end, the fbi agents tell elliot "since no one can ever know about this, instead of a medal of honor, the president would like to send you a pair of cowboy boots with 'w's on them.. and a hat." bwaha.
ooooh.... and something i didn't know... BRODIE is in it! i mean.. jason lee! squee!!! (he played puggy.) [fangirl] he's sooo foxy!! [/fangirl]
so. yes. hilarious movie, go see it. now!

Can we recommend toys here? Or am I like...the only person who collects toys? ::thinks:: Yeah, I probably am. Anyway, I will recomend a toy anyway. If you feel the need to go out and buy some figures this weekend - or ever - pick up the wave 1 LotR Boromir/Lurtz two pack. Lurtz fires his own bow. It is possibly the coolest action feature I have ever seen. (Legolas does the same thing but a: he's harder to find and b: his doesn't look as cool.)
So. Yes. That's my toy recomendation of the day. (And if I spend much more time on this Episode II preview site I may have about 18 more by the end of the day ~_~;; )

i can't wait for big trouble to come out, it was such a hilarious book that if the movie's half as good, it'll be great. *hails dave barry*
i'd like to support all the neil gaiman love, as well. oh, and go look at neilgaiman.com... his blog is quite funny.
oh yes, and i want to point out that neil gaiman and tori amos are good friends, and you can catch all sorts of little nods to each other in their works.. which amuse me. ie, in tori's song "horses" there's the line "... but will you find me if neil makes me a tree?" and hmmmm, in stardust there's a tree with red leaves that.. talks.. and... stuff. yes. and delirium (from the sandman) is vaguely based on tori.. and then there's... "me and neil'll be hanging out with the dream king" from "tear in my hand".. and... "i keep getting this story twisted/so where's neil when you need him?" from... umm.. wtf song is that? *flails* oh yes.. "space dog".. let's see.. and tori wrote the introduction to death: the high cost of living, and neil wrote the album description for strange little girls.. and.. i'm just going to stop flaunting my freakish tori amos obsession now... *hums innocently*

Oi, it's been awhile since I've posted. I am amused that Renata actually listed the amatuer porn star link under my list of reccomendations. Uhm, these days I'm still reading House of Leaves. I've pretty much finished the main part of the book, and now I'm reading all the various stuff in the appendices. Huzzah.
Uhm, here, have another porn star reccomendation. Ty Parks. He's dreamy too.

Oh, yeah, and I meant to make a signifigant post too. I've been listening to this one Paul Simon CD non-stop for weeks. It's all sentimental for me because it was my favourite CD when I was two or three (I'm not making this up). This one specifically is Graceland and it is very much worth the cash. If you don't have the cash, at least DL some highlights, like "The Boy in the Bubble", "Call Me Al", "Dimonds on the Soles of her Shoes", "Graceland", and "I Know What I Know".
Not that I'm encouraging anything illegal. But, you know, Paul Simon doesn't really need the money at this point....

i haven't read american gods yet, although i know i need to... but i can tell you that stardust, good omens, and neverwhere were all amaaaazing. so yes.
btw, i'm working on updating the template... it's basically a ripoff of the blue jacketeers-- a couple "recommended links" from everybody... (ie mine were toriamos.com, starwars.com, etc.) so... if sometime everybody wants to go in and add theirs, or just blog them and i'd be happy to add them for you... yeah. whee.

::waves:: Yayfun! I've joined!
You're probably going to hear a lot of this from me, so I'll get it over with right off the bat. Everyone must read the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett. Comparable to "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", only in a Fantasy setting rather than Sci-Fi. My recommendation would be to start with "Guards! Guards!". ::hearts Terry Pratchett::
I'm rereading "Small Gods" at the moment, for those that care.

Because I have to say, because of Katieayanobri and Inna, I went out and pre-pordered a copy of American Gods and I seriously have to know if it's as good as everyone says it is. because now I have to wait for it to come.
