:: The Optic Monologues ::

A great way for people who don't bother to actually associate with me to feel like they're somehow still a part of my life.

Some annoying bitch wrote an article in the DRR about the evils of Harry Potter. I posted it, ver batim, here. Jesus, where do I begin? Well, first off, let me first say that my initial attack........ yeah, I'm a pacifist, yet I attack......HYPOCRITE....... was to call her and say "Scuse me, but is this Phyllis? Alright. I was just wondering if you've ever read anything except the Bible. Thanks." Not mature, nor persuasive. And hardly pacifistic........ but as far as I'm concerned, pacifism is much easier in theory. It was pretty fucking funny, though.
I've been trying to figure out what she meant by "refrences"..... to find the spells. There's no bibliography. Then it dawned on me, as I sped through Goblet of Fire the other night....... she means the students' text books. She really does. Which pains me. She thinks "1001 magical herbs and fungi, by Regina Spore" or whatever is an actual refrence book. And that when 11 year-olds read Harry Potter, the look up and say "Oh my......... this book has just given me the uncontrollable urge to worship Anton LaVey and sacrifice squirrels!" And then their heads spin around and they spit blood and ass-rape their parents. I know that's what *I* do when I read Harry Potter books. Well, she inspired me to schlep to Barnes and Noble and buy a book on the history of paganism. I think I might call and tell her *that* too.
I'm going to go levitate and chant "Quidditch" backwards for awhile, now, if you'll excuse me.
Love unconditionally, Del.
